A star-studded journey

A 1997 graduate of the Thonon-les-Bains Hotel School, Jacky Benand quickly developed his expertise by working in prestigious establishments. He notably honed his culinary skills at "La Pyramide" in Vienne, which has been awarded two Michelin stars, and at "Les Alpes" in Orsières, which has been awarded one Michelin star. These experiences allowed him to acquire technical mastery and creativity that are reflected today in every dish served at L'Atelier de Jacky.

 

In 2005, driven by a desire to share his culinary vision, Jacky took over the restaurant "Le Clos Savoyard" in La Chapelle-d'Abondance. For 11 years, he offered authentic cuisine, showcasing the richness of the Savoyard region. This period was marked by a constant quest for excellence and a desire to surprise his guests. 

 

In December 2016, a new chapter was written with the creation of "L'Atelier de Jacky." This bistro restaurant reflects his culinary maturity, where he fully expresses his passion for cuisine that combines conviviality and refinement. Located in the heart of La Chapelle-d'Abondance, the establishment quickly became a reference for lovers of fine cuisine.

  • Cheeses: Caroline and Gérard Cruz-Mermy from La Chapelle-d'Abondance produce exceptional goat cheeses. Alain Grillert Aubert, based in Abondance, is renowned for his AOP Abondance cheese. Sébastien Vittoz from Bonnevaux offers delicious sheep's milk cheeses.
